Magnificent Basque house overlooking the sea and the mountains, just a stone’s throw from Biarritz on the Basque coast. The house is located in an exceptional setting: a 5-minute walk along a little cliff path takes you down to Bidart’s Erretegia beach (lifeguard supervised in high season); it’s just 100 metres to the local shops (baker’s, grocery store) and bus stops that take you to Biarritz, Bayonne, Anglet and Saint Jean de Luz.
The view of the mountains reminds me of the pretty, inland village of Ainhoa. The colours of this room are in symbiosis with its decoration that evokes “my return from voyages to faraway places”.
